Fashion Volunteer Opportunity
Who: Bresee Community Center is having a 4.5 week fashion design workshop for high school students ages 14-19
Why: To create a prom dress for the Jo-Ann's Prom Scholarship contest awarding $1000-$50,000 to the winners.
When: May 17-June 14 every Monday and Friday 5:30-7pm (Come the entire time or part of the time)
Where: Bresee Community Center 184 S. Bimini Place LA, CA 90004
Parking: free. Just park in lot or on street or at the 1st Nazarene Church
The workshop just started, and there are a lot of kids interested. Our lead instructor is Shannon Russell.
Schedule: (All days are 5:30-7pm)
friday(May 21): finalizing their designs
monday(24): joanns store field trip. Buy fabric and notions.
Friday(June 4): sewing making patterns
Monday(7): sew
friday(11): sew
monday(14): photo shoot at Bresee with photographers and stylists
Tuesday(15): help students SUBMIT online!
